Demanding that a hospital - a HOSPITAL - identify you as female when you are mail is a good way to die. They use race and sex and approximate age to make sure they are treating the right patient in the event you are unconscious or otherwise out of it.
You will end up either getting the wrong treatment or getting delayed treatment, while the doc is furious at an innocent intake person who got the "wrong" sex on the patient's chart.
Also: Some drugs behave differently in the different sexes. Some symptoms of illness are different in the different sexes (heart attack is a big one here.)

This Netflix series is based on "The Babysitters Club" series, which was composed of 100-200 books, which included additional side series that focused on Kristy's little sister and whatnot. The books were hugely popular with preteen girls in the '90s. I don't remember the original books being all that daring. The girls all had different personalities and struggles - whether it was divorced parents, diabetes, or just middle school life in general. Pretty safe stuff. Netflix, of course, destroys that.
