...as always. Got approached by a worker in the produce section and was dreading a confrontation.

Then I noticed he had his mask pulled down over his nose. He thanked me for not wearing one and gave me a fist bump! :)

He said it makes him feel sick from having it on for 6-8 hours and he doesn't believe it gives much protection. Sanity!

And this is a store where I was once cursed at for not wearing a mask, and another time a group of ladies formed a little gossip circle and looked at me in horror. I have seen a few others not wear masks, but it's much more rare than it should be.

People are sick of the nonsense, and just watch, by mid November, it will all be magically forgotten.

Same, the mask police asked me where my mask was. I kept walking and did my shopping.

That happened to me weeks ago in a Subway, where I informed them I had a medical exemption from my doctor.

Now though they let you eat in the Subway, so the masks come off anyway.

hope you're right but the realist in me doesn't think this is over until Trump is forced to "overreach" and nullify the state orders, somehow. They can end things from a federal perspective but if the governors can just exercise their unchecked power and produce fake "data" to extend their SOEs 1, 3 or 6 months further at a time, we're still stuck. And then we have the threat of increasing rioting to worry about if we don't shut that shit down hard NOW

I feel like it would be the opposite. Once they know their time is done, a la Gretchen Hitler in Michigan, they just burn as many bridges as they can.

Our city has a "mandatory" mask order and most larger stores have someone posted at the front door. They ask me if I want a mask when I walk in the store and I politely tell them, "Thanks, but no thank you" and continue on with my shopping. No store I've been to has harassed me and not a single person has so much as said a word to me.

I did have one grocery store give me a really hard time about it early on in the mask era so I told the guy they were forever losing my business and just left. Only that one type of market (it was a Redners BTW) has been that mask crazy though.

Went to play pinball, which is obviously a not so active thing, was forced to wear a mask, in 2 hours my sides hurt. They are hindering, they are not helping.

Tell them you have a medical condition and you need an exemption per your doctor.

Check the exact wording on the order in your state, you may not even need to go that far. Some orders even exempt you if a behavioral or legal professional has advised you not to.

No. I'm one of the states top players. I just won't be playing until I can go without lies and play with no mask. I own 10 machines myself, just nice to play variety.

Same here. I stopped and asked if I was refused entry but the worker only said I need it to shop so on inside I went without it. Lots of scared sheep in there for sure.

Safeway had been leaving me alone. Went in the other day, and as I was finishing my self checkout, an employee walked up to me with a box of masks and asked if I wanted one. Told him "no thanks," grabbed my receipt, and left as he mumbled, "it's required to shop at..."

Went to a couple of stores this weekend. Lots of people pulling their masks down once inside.
