People should also buy some fire extinguishers. Just like a firearm, you hope you never have to use it, but the one day you do, you'll be happy to have one.
You should have one in your home and every vehicle you own as well, IMO.
Costco had a sale on the bigger 5# models a little while ago for $20/each. I picked up three.
Your car, or a bystanders, can catch fire easier than you think. There is a ton of potential chemical energy under the hood that can be hard to stop without a fire extinguisher.
You'll still see cars gets totally burned-out before a fire truck can get there.
In such a situation, the only prayer you have at saving your auto from being totalled is putting it out yourself.
I keep one in the garage, one in the backyard by the smoker, and one for kitchen/grease fires in the house. Never had to use them, yet :knock on wood: but glad I have them.
Lol. My gun safe fits in a similar spot in my basement. On 6x6's through bolted to the floor, it was 1100lbs and because of a stair landing, it's now part of the house. Putting it in the "concrete surround" saves it from side or rear attacks, and no leverage to pry it to loosen the floor bolts.
They're infrequent out of town, it's too far to ride a bike, but they're around. My neighbors aren't too far away, I let them know when the place is vacant. But yeah, that stuff is whacked, wrecks people.
I've checked out ammoseek, and apparently there's still some .223 ammo out therenfor about .40/round Mostly steel! It'll do.
People say it's worse now than 2008 but I remember .223 being $1/round and unavailable. Bulk was fuckin' gone, and local stores might have one box for you...but probably not. Seems the gun buying is crazier or the same, ammo maybe not yet?
I'm guessing that 9mm is still in its original cardboard packaging. I made the mistake of putting my 9mm loose in 50cal cans. At 60lbs a piece, they are a pain in the neck to move, especially if you're hauling it to the range. 30cal cans are much better for that task!
Do you keep the rounds in their respected boxes in the ammo cans or do you just dump them into each one and load from there? Curious as to which is the better space saving option.
Knew I wasn't the only one!
Its like a humidor for bullets!
More a root cellar id say.
I know a bunker when I see one.
I have that same ThermPro thermometer/hygrometer on my filing cabinets.
Communist food rations
So you're the guy buying all the 9mm
Subtle sag...you're almost there fren.

I live in the woods and want to leave town from time to time. My safe needs to be robust enough to thwart the average meth mouth for a few days.

No commie calibers there I don't think.
X 39 I’m sure. It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than 223 or 556 these days. Could be x 25 or x 54 but a good Kalashnikova is a great reliable SHTF go to.
Can I come over for dinner?
I think you're prepared, sir.
Are you sure that shelf is going to hold bro
Saving this pic for when my wife asks me what I want for Christmas.
A man of (cheap and deep) culture I see.
Ah, I see you are a man of culture
I need 3 full cans of 300 blackout in my life
Who doesn't?
Each one has an SJW's name on it.
This is the way.
But you seem a little light on .22 and 12 gauge.
I'd pay about double what that is worth right about now and feel good about it. Fuck...
ammolist

wikiarms ammo finder. That's all I got.
Maybe try Wikiarms ammo engine.
Pantry needs a Goya section
This is what happens after you pump up rookie numbers. Very nice.
I. AM. SO. JEALOUS.
No Goya beans? Nice pull, brother.
Yeehaw
Can I come hang out?
God damn, that's a thicc ass shelf!
i know right. it gotta be some heavy duty shit to carry all this weight.
800 pounds?
That's good, because there are a lot of hungry commies out there.
That's a lot of freedom!
How much does all that cost?
Dude, this brings a tear to my eye.
God bless you.
beautiful.
Wait, that ain't ice cream. O_o
Impressive labels, very respectful.
It’s a start.
Shit, now I look like an unorganized asshole with just boxes in my cabinet.
Is there a reason you prefer the 50 cal ammo can over the 7.62 ammo can?

Communists favorite food.
Every American should own more bullets than their vehicle can carry..
I am Jealous!
So you're the guy that took all the 9mm.
STOP! I can only get so erect!!!
Yeah I remember when I kept my ammo in cans
That's a lot of ammo for the zombie (Democrat / SJW / communist) apocalypse.
Only yummy if you feed it to your enemies. I love how your cabinet is a concrete bunker :3
Hope you make the 7.62x39, the 7.62x51 and the 7.62x54m so you know which is which.

Nice work patriot 👌🏻
