Funny story actually. The feds caught some moonshiners using it since they couldn't catch them on prohibition charges. The moonshiners won in court, the NFA was ruled unconstitutional, and the government appealed the case to itself at the Supreme Court. By that time one of the defendants had died and another couldn't be found to represent himself so the government prosecution argued against no one and the judges ruled they had won the argument.
