I can't even begin to tell you how many people I know in the Austin area. Just because its a blue city doesn't mean there aren't patriots everywhere armed to the teeth.
That's because most intelligent people live outside the city and commute there if need be.. it makes these one-off blue cities seem a lot more blue than they really are... Happens all across the country when you have blue cities in mostly red states....
