In natural disasters, the military comes in with generators, potable water, and other things to help the citizenry. I wonder what would happen if Trump ordered the military to bring in generators, water tanks and pumps to help the churches weather the political storm. That would be epic. Declare a man made disaster and send in help.

When I was in college the National Guard came to town with tankers when something happened to the local water supply. It was kinda fun.

I would argue that civic leaders have NO God “ordained” authority, but I agree with everything else in the statement
