I don't believe Greece will extradite Greek citizens. Not sure though.

Unlikely that Greece would seriously damage diplomatic relations just to protect one citizen for a crime that he wold have been arrested for in Greece anyways

Yeah usually when peaceful countries block extradition it’s usually because

A) the case is very weak

B) it is not a crime or nearly as serious of a crime in the blocker country

C) sole citizenship in the blocker country and it’s not a serious crime

European countries don't care. Roman Polanski is still in France. They won't extradite because he's French.
