So Northern VA is going full distance learning start of the year and shitbook had been filled with teachers celebrating this. But my god, they are the dumbest and often not the most racist people I have seen. It is scary to think they teach kids. The only good thing out of all of this:
I showed my wife these "teachers" and now she is 100% onboard for home schooling.
Distance learning or not, I think it is best to keep children out of the education system nowadays. Critical theory (and critical race theory) has infiltrated education, and your teachers will attempt to brainwash your children because THEY have been brainwashed into thinking this is the one way—the "ethical" way—to teach.
Higher ed, where teachers go to become teachers, has been festering with this stuff for such a time now. Probably every educational training program has soon-to-be-teachers read Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed. Hell, in my graduate program for education, it was assigned in five different classes! It is one of the most fundamental texts on critical theory, and if it is being taught, you best believe other, more contemporary critical race theory texts are being taught as well. That's how you end up with situations like math teachers teaching about privilege and having students "problematize" the world, rather than long division!
Critical theory: just say NO!
