Not necessarily the parents, I gave birth to one who became one of those and my others are all based, one is a US Marine. Insanity cannot be cured by good parenting. It is time for us to 100% put responsibility on individuals for their actions. Sigmund Freud was wrong
Parenting can help though. If the child is acting up and the parent's discipline the child then they're at least trying to do something about the problem. That's really all you can ask for in that situation. If the parents try for a couple years and then stop, shrug their shoulders and give up because, "well, we tried but they're just a little shit head" then that's still on the parents.
Until that child turns 18 and is on their own you still need to do everything you can to discipline and hold them accountable. The problem is many parents either don't, or do the above and stop caring. Those are the ones that get the harsh criticisms because they have failed at their duty to try and raise a productive member of society, not the ones that did everything possible and the kid was a shithead regardless. My brother is one, my parents raised both of us as close to the same as possible. I turned out great, he turned out to be an asshole regardless of 18 years of trying to straighten him out.
Mine behaved like a sane person until she was about 20, I did not tolerate nonsense. Apparently she got woke and parents like me are abusive. She was not an easy child to say the least, but she was good when she lived at home. When I see the brats on video I picture heartbroken parents
I suspect they are trying to get arrested so they can get video clips on the ground, I am a nice young woman. I don't know why this is happening. Blah blah blah
