The wal-mart near me has been card only at the self checkouts for over a month now from the "coin shortage" but the best part is they closed down the coinstar machine as well... I don't believe it is broken either, I check it every time I'm in there for pre 1964 silver coins and it's always off

How do you check the coins in the machine already?
The return tray, I've gotten 2 1964 Roosevelt dimes and a 1944 Mercury dime in the past few months before they shut that one down
Cool. I used to be a cashier when I was younger, I would always check all the coins we had and replace the pre 64 silver with a quarter or a dime
