I truly am concerned for some folk because of the whole “no cash” thing. My brother-in-law is a handyman/tradesman type of worker who has never had a credit card or bank account in his entire life. He always cashes his checks at Walmart and then gives his mother money to pay any bills he has. He is in his upper 40s and he simply cannot comprehend how to do things without a cash transaction. If Walmart goes to card only transactions, he and many others will have a very difficult time buying groceries and other essentials.
The wal-mart near me has been card only at the self checkouts for over a month now from the "coin shortage" but the best part is they closed down the coinstar machine as well... I don't believe it is broken either, I check it every time I'm in there for pre 1964 silver coins and it's always off
