These immigrates are the worst. Why would anyone willingly take in people who hate you and want to destroy you? Then you allow them to volunteer at historic sites that are a national treasure. What a joke.
I rarely meet actual grateful immigrants. They mostly seem to be entitled and resentful of not getting even more free shit than they already do, so they eye your shit and call it privilege that you have more than them. All this needs to end.
I think there are examples of people grateful to be given a chance at a better life. She, unfortunately, is not one of them.
The ones i have met that are grateful are super patriotic. Then again they are rare.
Same; I have a good friend who's family came over from PR when he was little. His granny was a literal house slave herself to a rich Spanish couple in PR, so the convo can be a minefield sometimes.
That said, he's the most outspoken America/2A/freedom lover I know.

I can think of 4 super patriotic and grateful immigrants I know off the top of my head. And they are from all over, Switzerland, Bangladesh, Sudan and Nepal.
