Don't know why they would lie, but they are lying. Also, GWP has a still from a vid in the article, does anyone have that vid? How the hell is not out there viral?
EDIT: Wanted to add, the lack of video on this might mean that Garrett DID fire first, if I was an Antifa terrorist like the ones surrounding that car, and had video of that, I probably would delete it instead of trying to upload it, right?
What? Miles away? That's not how echoes work.
Exactly his point. The echo theory is stupid, we're talking about buildings less than 100 feet away from each other.
Sound travels at roughly 1000 feet per second. The echo in a street like this between buildings is too rapid to be considered an echo. You wouldn't call an "B-Bang" an echo, but you would if it were a "BANG-Bang-bang".
If this happened a block away, that complicates the acoustics a bit. But this video captured the incident and sound in direct proximity. For the same reason the rifle report did not echo, neither did the handgun.
Like everyone else here who knows what guns sound like, rifle fired 5 rounds, handgun fired 3 rounds, separate handgun fired one round.
Police report largely corroborates this except they are omitting the rifle discharge for some reason. Perhaps to not piss on the dead kid's funeral too hard, at least not right away. Dead kid didn't get to deliver his statement to the police so they're playing it safe in the media for now. The full evidence will come out sometime soon.
There are 5 seconds between the first 5 shots, and then 3 shots. 5 seconds. Sound travels at about 1129 FPS, that times 5 is 5645 ft. Or roughly a mile. Were those buildings a mile away?
