We really need to get people out of the road. People inevitably get killed, whether it be the driver or the idiots in the road. There needs to be a widely - announced "you don't need to stop for mobs in the road ' so the mobs can't claim they are surprised when it happens, and the drivers don't have to put themselves at risk worrying about prosecution. Will this lead to people deliberately running people over? Yep. But if they are protected, and it is known, it won't happen too many times before people GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE ROAD.
While I was dating this one girl, her friend tried sprinting across the road, didn't look, but it was raining and she didn't wanna get wet. She ended up in the hospital and my gf was going on and on about how terrible it was that someone hit her like it was the driver's fault. Finally had to tell her, look, sucks she got hit, but it's pretty easy to not get hit by a car, I learned to look both ways before crossing the street when I was like 5 years old. She didn't like it, but it's true.
