My parents, 76 years old, formerly lifelong Democrats (now rabid Trump supporters) say the only show they can watch and not get disgusted by, is American Pickers.

I watch air disasters on that channel because it is more positive then the woke garbage. At least there is an upside when they find the cause of the crash.

Do you trust the content not the History channel? Loads of Howard Zinn shit on ther. Despite their love for history, I’d never let my kids roam free on the History Channel. Supervised is another story, though. Good chance to discuss, debunk and learn true history more deeply.

The movies and TV shows are so bad now. It makes me think there is a big niche for anyone that wants to produce some good old non-woke American entertainment and make some good money. Notice how most movies now have a "strong female" lead. I have no problem with that when appropriate, but strong male leads are getting fewer and fewer as we are supposed to believe all these chicks can easily kick a guys butt, LOL. Also, bad guys are always white males now. Every show has to have the correct quota of white, black, other minorities, and LGBTQXYZ folks. It's all over homogenized garbage. I refuse to watch any of it except for old movies and TV shows and some of the ones you have all mentioned.

"Glee" being the greatest show ever is a fucking streeeeetch and a half. I'll take your word on how it changed for the worse but there is no fucking way most people would agree with that statement no matter how it was vs what it turned out to be lol. It's a glee club, shit isn't that compelling.

Honestly, I'm only in my 30s and I watch the old people tv stations like METV and Grit. The old shows like Perry Mason, Tales of Wells Fargo, The Rifleman, Twilight Zone, original Star Trek, Wagon Train, Adam 12, etc... Are all way more fun to watch than almost anything on tv today.

These old shows have way better characters and plots too. A lot of them always had a moral to the story too, but morality has largely been stripped away from everything today, which is a big reason for all the problems we have in society.

Anime has way too much pedo vibes for me. Half the shit is weird underage looking women and Asian lady boys being extremely socially awkward and cringey, the shit that the wokest new age millennials parrot with all their weird quirks about being socially retarded.

There are many out there keen to make entertainment that is non woke.

But where are the woke studios to market the movie?

Where are the woke advertisers to promote the movies?

It's not just making a movie.

It's about having the ability to market the movie and get the masses told that it exists.

Look at how MAGA supporters are shut out from the internet.

If no one knows you made a based movie, did you make one?

You're not the only one by a long shot. I'm tired of gays, black characters that were formerly white (who's excited about the new James Bond movie!?), and the attempt to shoehorn in trans characters like they aren't weird creatures. I'm not sure who movies are made for, but it's not normal people.

Music sucks too. They've ruined sports. Even games are turning to shit. No one wants this. The question is why are they doing it?

Meanwhile, when you watched Live PD before it was canceled because reality is racist, they had to struggle to find even one white criminal to put on the screen.

64
Liberty4All 64 points ago +64 / -0

That's true.

I recently started watching NCIS from the beginning (2003). It is SO refreshing to not have the gay, trans and racial agendas shoved in my face. Some things that stood out to me:

*The main characters are all white and hetero; there are no gay or trans characters.

*One of the male characters is a real skirt-chaser. The show pokes fun at him without being preachy. He's comic relief, but he still gets to solve cases and be the hero sometimes.

*The skirt-chaser ribs another character, a nerdy guy, for acting gay. The skirt-chaser knows the nerdy guy is straight. It's just him hazing the newbie, back when people could jokingly call people gay without anyone freaking out.

*The main characters have respect and appreciation for the military.

*The lead investigator is a retired Marine.

*The lead investigator's character - a white male - has his flaws, but he is played as a positive role model: intelligent, driven, tough, brave, and deserving of respect.

*The terrorists on the show are jihadis, not "right wing white supremacists."

By the standards of Hollywood today, this show would be misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, racist, and Islamophobic -- and probably several other phobics and -ists that I can't remember off the top of my head.

I am watching the early seasons still. I fear that in later seasons the show will become progressively more cucked like all modern TV, but I hope not. (No spoilers, please.)

56
PoorMansPsychiatrist 56 points ago +56 / -0

Yep. I watch old reruns. Old westerns are great. And classic movies like the Thin Man series. Soon it'll all be gone if they have their way.

This weekend we saw a bunch of nature stuff on BBC. Really amazing stuff.

But yeah, the commercials checking all the boxes for gender, color, LBGTWXYZ, etc. get tiresome.

64
ShiffsDeadHooker 64 points ago +64 / -0

I commented to a friend of mine a few months back how commercials now nearly always feature mixed race couples, and also if there are a several men or women or kids in the commercial there will be Asian/black/white/brown every single time. That you'll rarely see an all-white family in a commercial, but an all-black family you will see. He sorta rolled his eyes a little, he doesn't have a TV that actually is connected to anything and the only time he watches it is when it's on at other people's houses.

Last night he was over and we were watching something I had recorded while making/eating dinner. He said "You were absolutely right. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Commercials are utter propaganda pushing interracial everything."

I have Comet TV on my cheap cable. It rotates between Babylon5, Battlestar Galactica, Outer Limits, Mystery Science Theater 3000, and every version of Star Trek including the original. They show old sci fi and horror movies, too.

MeTV shows loads of old 60s-70s reruns and every Saturday night there's Svengoolie. He has great movies, like the old Hammer films and the classic Universal monsters.

There's still good entertainment out there with a little searching. And I haven't given up on Bill & Ted Face the Music, supposed to be released for streaming on Sept. 1.

  • Mobile Suit Gundam 00

  • Psycho Pass (especially season 1)

  • Steins;Gate

  • Attack on Titan (already mentioned by someone else)

  • Bleach (not exactly quality, but nostalgic for me)

  • Tokyo Ghoul (specifically seasons 1 and 2)

  • Fate/Zero (Stay Night Unlimited Bladeworks is okay, but not as good)

Also for movies, check out Studio Ghibli, especially Spirited Away and The Wind Rises, phenomenal movies.

Edit: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans is also great.

I'd also like to recommend

Black Clover Hunter X Hunter One Punch Man My Hero Academia

Most of those are a lot lighter and more fun. None of them have a ton of fan service.

7
Wheredidiputit 7 points ago +7 / -0

OPM is fucking gold. Love that show.

Hunter X is fun as hell

My Hero is amazing but does definitely give pedo service.

2
MAGA_4EVER 2 points ago +2 / -0

I said none of them have a ton.

I don't think the amount in my hero is too much to make anyone stop watching. Just my opinion though

If you haven't seen Vinland I highly recommend it. Only seen the first two episodes so far but the animation is excellent and story so far seems about as wholesome as a violent anime can be. It is about Vikings and looks like it will be about them heading west to the Americas.

4
DerAlterAmAltar 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just watched the trailer and it looks interesting, I'll have to add it to my list.

5
MatthiasBlack 5 points ago +5 / -0

Cowboy Bebop Baccano! Hunter x Hunter Hellsing, Elfen Lied, and Evangelion if you're into more violent things Death Note ofc

And if you've ever been competitive at anything, I highly recommend Ping Pong the Animation. The art style is very strange but you'll get used to it. The show's very good.

Man Fate/Zero is just so damn good though. Has a bit of a learning curve, but the pitfalls of certain moralities and ideologies are so well explored.

4
DerAlterAmAltar 4 points ago +4 / -0

Dude, the episode of Fate/Zero when Rider, Saber, and Archer sit down and discuss what makes a good king is one of the best episodes of any show.

4
MatthiasBlack 4 points ago +4 / -0

(For those who have no idea what this means, it's Alexander ths Great, Gilgamesh, and King Arthur discussing kingship)

2
ProdigalPlaneswalker 2 points ago +2 / -0

Love it. Fate/Zero Episode 11: Discussing the Grail

3
lurkwellmyfriends 3 points ago +3 / -0

Season one of Psycho Pass may be the best season of any show I've ever seen.

2
Rufus_Shinra 2 points ago +2 / -0

Goblin Slayer and Rise of the Shield Hero are awesome as well, both upset the SJWs so that's what made me watch them. I liked them so much I bought the blu rays.

AOT is great as long as you can fast forward the fucking angsty drama. Shit gets boring real quick otherwise.

There's a parody called Attack on Titan Abridged that's fantastic, kinda makes fun of that part of it.

3

LOL I'm watching it now. This is great

Ehhh you get into anime more and it’s really just to make you laugh. Sure for fucking weirdos they get hard but good fan service makes me laugh so hard

Yea I’m pushing 40 and still appreciate a good anime. Not all have the pedo issues. Japanese media is usually free of the leftist politics that have invaded western media. Usually.

It's one of the last non cucked industries, you're missing out. Most of the good stuff doesn't have any cringe weeb/loli shit. I don't like that stuff either.

That's all I've seen recently. Both commie propaganda.

19
Alpha_plus 19 points ago +19 / -0

I just watch older stuff. Plenty of older tv shows and movies to keep a person entertained for the rest of their lives. The new stuff is unbearable.

19
prawnexodus 19 points ago +19 / -0

I watch practically nothing anymore. Going through star trek OG as a means of dozing off at night and the occasional movie every once in a while, but even still i am frequently unhappy with what i see.

This shit is meant to capture your attention and instruct you, and should be avoided as much as possible.

When i was younger, i used to scoff at people who had living rooms without TVs. Now i look back at all the years of my life wasted in front of the propaganda feeder. Now, of course, the memes of production have shifted to the internet, but

WE SHALL SEIZE!

solarsavior 16 points ago +17 / -1

I don't watch much TV anymore, outside of Yellowstone which is excellent.

I watch a lot of cow videos about milking (and everything that goes with it) and hoof trimming. I watch videos about farming.

I watch lawnmower videos, including these crazy ass things.

https://youtu.be/LzJsOKQAWdA?t=104

I just try to watch interesting things that are calm.

8
sentient-potato 8 points ago +8 / -0

I stumbled upon this video of a bee keeper euthanizing a dangerous hive. I'm neither a farmer nor bee keeper, but this video had my kids and I riveted. We then went on to watch bee keepers cultivating and processing honey, making candles out of beeswax etc.

I don't spend a lot of time on YT but this was an unexpected surprise.

3
solarsavior 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh, I forgot about watching the beekeeping videos. I've seen this exact video.

I live out where I could have some bees. I remember Costco selling bee boxes one year.

The neat innovation I saw was the Flow Hive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbMV9qYIXqM

I just don't know if I want to fool with them. You will get stung at some point.

I do my part for the bees. They love my bottle brush and other plants. They come around all the time and are never a nuisance.

2
trevortheshone 2 points ago +2 / -0

Stumbled on it recently as well. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

2
RackOps 2 points ago +2 / -0

I started keeping bees this year.

That's a very informative video.

4
chuckachookah 4 points ago +5 / -1

Or, it'll get the race treatment.

I have only seen 1-2 episodes and I'm going to do a binge watch, but there is already the embedded "Whitey stole the land" vibe. But, I'll admit I am talking a bit out of turn.

13

Yep, we really only watch YouTube stuff by conservative commentators and old movies/TV. Don’t really bother with new stuff, you know it’ll be woke af and I’m not interested.

12
Slickrick941 12 points ago +12 / -0

Also, Netflix buying the rights to shows off the air and then injecting woke garbage into a new season is an epidemic.

Fuck the media, fuck Hollywood, and fuck all their socialist handlers trying to push their agenda

7
MAGAlikethis 7 points ago +7 / -0

It's not just Netflix, damn near every show that was running during 2016 got a massive liberal injection into the writing team. So many good shows were ruined.

If I'm in the mood for a movie, I watch TCM, it has a wide variety of great films, unedited, no commercials, for instance , last night I watched "Arthur" hadn't seen it in years, super funny movie, then they had on another Dudley Moore movie from the 60's titled "Bedazzled" a funny movie with Raquel Welch in a small role as "lust", and oh my god did she look hot.

Luckily I think the show runners have enough clout (from BB) not to be pushed into it, and I think they want to tell a realistic good story. Kim is the most realistic strong women on TV currently, they didnt do it by making all the men around her bumbling idiots either.

2
VenomPede 2 points ago +2 / -0

I absolutely love that show

12
freebirdie 12 points ago +12 / -0

I love watching reruns of Frasier. That show was hilarious and Kelsey Grammar is based. I always enjoy watching cooking shows, but they've managed to even fuck some of those up. I watch a lot of food network in my spare time because cooking is a big hobby of mine and I’m a foodie. Woke crap is rare on there it’s pretty much stays on its own subject matter. Sometimes you get a weird leftist chef on chopped or guys grocery games that is a bit of a clown world participant. Food Network are owned by Discovery network though unfortunately. So I do fear the day when clown world invades it to the next level. I still watch UFC and other MMA events. MMA is my physical hobby I’m a student of jiu jitsu. I watch NHL hockey too unless they go the way of MLb/NFL/NBA then I’ll boycott.

I’ve lost just about all interest in movies. I really don’t want to support Hollywood and Disney any longer. Once I dug deep down the rabbit hole with all this pedo crap it’s hard for me to look at an actor in a movie that is involved and not be disgusted. Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, and Prime = cancelled.

Is there not a single group of the silent majority that is willing to make quality films, you know, quality according to traditional movie standards?

At least the plot is that China and Google are trying to rule the world through influencing young dumb idiots. So at least it's not completely cucked.

6
Shortcakemylove 6 points ago +7 / -1

My husband and I watched the premiere episode of "Tough as Nails" on CBS. The show was pretty good. What was NOT good was the innumerable BLM propaganda stuffed into the commercial spots. All to ultimately fund the JOEPEDO™ campaign. Slick ads for a drooling fool.

When my family/friends/coworkers start talking about some new show on a streaming service, my answer is always "no, I haven't watched it, I don't have streaming_service_x."

Modern Movies/TV are largely garbage. Plenty of great entertainment available from the past, and more than you could ever hope to consume in a lifetime.

Do something different, watch a classic movie.
