Exactly. This isn’t the town crier or Ben Franklin’s printing press. These are large multinational entities with their own financial interests. Just as the 2nd amendment has its limits, there has to be a reckoning on what the 1st allows.
I think they were treasonous back in Fall 2016 when they were working hand-in-glove with the Deep State traitors to push the Russian Collusion hoax as a means to a soft coup
The Deep State dudes knew who they could feed these sharks red meat propaganda lies and that the "mainstream" media would go all out to help them in their coup efforts
The Washington Post has a good motto “democracy dies in darkness” except they are a part of the problem, not the solution. Completely agree about the abandonment of comment sections, it’s very authoritarian in nature and something you cannot do in the physical world.
In real life it would be like welcoming people together for a presentation, while forbidding them to make contact with or discuss what they’re being told. Very much like that scene from the Apple 1984 commercial...
I despise what it has become of late. Yes, I know it was never even remotely conservative, but there is a great difference between Captain Jack Harkness, a great character who happened to be SUPER gay, and characters they shove into the show now, who ARE SUPER GAY and when you ask, "but what is their character about? Do they have any identity BESIDES being gay???" you get called a Homophobe.
To me, the show ended with Peter Capaldi. He knocked it out of the park in the two parter made of "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent," and I consider that The Doctor's final triumph, the end, story over.
You may want to consider watching "Face the Raven" before it, it sets the stage for those two. It happens immediately before them, but is a seemingly separate storyline until it leads directly into those two.
Wow, never seen anyone say anything bad about any of the Tom Baker years. Though Sylvester McCoy often gets crapped upon, so no surprise that you've included 24.
Once upon a time, I decided to watch all of Doctor Who, starting with good old William Hartnell. I made it... a little less than half way, I'd say, before I was forced to admit that Doctor Who was dead. Swore off of it wholesale. To this day I'll see a TARDIS bumper sticker, or some other thing that I used to love, and just have to shake my head in sadness.
Sigh. Whenever someone says that something needs to be dumbed down, instead of telling people to smarten up, that person should be disappeared later that night and found in a hole in the woods a couple months later.
It sounds mean, but look at what they do to society, over and over and over...
The complaints (mainly from Mary Whitehouse) were that the show was becoming too dark/violent, the BBC caved and told Graham Williams to make the show lighter and more goofy ala 1960's Batman.
Yeah, those two went pretty well, but I felt like the weak writing of almost the entire Bill Potts season brought it down from what it could have been if they'd hired writers who wrote good stories, and then was like "Oh, and the companion's a black lesbian," instead of almost constantly sending The Doctor into situations where Social Justice about being either Black, or a Lesbian, or both, would come into play.
Ironically it was far less woke and far better written when it was written and run by a gay dude, rather than the two straight guys who followed and their world of pandering.
My favorite Dr. Who episode was the one where the bald super soldier guys (Sonterans?) attack Earth and have a field that disabled guns. The Doctor multiple times says that he's better than everyone because he doesn't carry a gun and warns all the human soldiers not to fight back.
Then the humans invent a new type of gun and kill all the Sonterans.
Yeah something goofy like that. I just liked how the episode was like it was supposed to be a big "non-violence anti-gun Doctor Saves The Day" episode but then they tell him to pound sand in his dick and kill everything with guns.
It used to be a fun campy show with very little politics, until 2013, like seemingly every form of media, they started seeping in feminist bullshit and then trans bullshit, now The Doctor is literally originally a black female with many diverse versions of him that were "forgotten" before the first doctor.
Show was great from 1963 to 1989. The new series starting in 2004 great for the first season, and darn good for the remaining seasons until around the Matt Smith era, where it started getting woke. Now it's garbage.
John Wayne must be canceled for something said 60 years ago. But Joe Biden saying the N word numerous times on camera back in the 90's doesn't matter, he was a product of his "generation".
I can't figure it out, it's like people can't change over time. Here we are in 2020 where people would rather see the destruction of in my humble opinion the best country on the planet. Godspeed pedes fight the good fight and remember you are on the right side of history
Good, now go find your TARDIS and after killing baby hitler, whack chibnall too. But only just before he started on Nurse Ratchet Who! He did some decent shit before he got woke.
The media is completely out of control
They need to be investigated for CCP ties. Is free speech applicable if it's indirect subversion from a foreign entity?
I think the free speech rights that apply to individual citizens should not apply to big corporations like the media.
I would fully support the government to intervene with force to stop them infecting the country with Cultural Marxism.
Exactly. This isn’t the town crier or Ben Franklin’s printing press. These are large multinational entities with their own financial interests. Just as the 2nd amendment has its limits, there has to be a reckoning on what the 1st allows.
You can’t tell everyone there’s a flu that kills 3% of everyone who gets it for the same reason you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater.
Especially when the people talking are socket puppets for foreign governments.
That ain't free speech, that's Charlie Chatter and should be met with hot lead.
Considering that these "media" companies are nothing more than corporate mouthpieces? I think treason in the "legal" and absolute sense.
One should say evil.

It’s treason then. Activates lightsaber
Just common sense press control
No one needs to put more than 16 words in a news article.
And you can be sure they don’t want to go.
It's actually hilarious to watch, under the belief that their demise is imminent.
If you don't believe that, then I imagine it is terrifying and depressing.
I truly hope so.
The solution to fake news is for Congress to pass a law that requires all news networks to have comment sections
The Washington Post has a good motto “democracy dies in darkness” except they are a part of the problem, not the solution. Completely agree about the abandonment of comment sections, it’s very authoritarian in nature and something you cannot do in the physical world.

ftfy
If there's no repercussions, why stop?
They're getting their money, that's all they care about
Choice meme, however, Doctor Who is woke faggotry.
I despise what it has become of late. I only saw a couple Capaldi episodes and wasn’t a fan at all, but I’ll check those two out!
Matt Smith and the Ponds are by fair and away my favorite of the reboot. But the David Tenet ones are great too.
Ignore their politics and enjoy the shows!!!
You may want to consider watching "Face the Raven" before it, it sets the stage for those two. It happens immediately before them, but is a seemingly separate storyline until it leads directly into those two.
Definitely watch "Face the Raven" and then those two.
Classic Who is fantastastic, exept for seasons 16-17 and 24.
Wow, never seen anyone say anything bad about any of the Tom Baker years. Though Sylvester McCoy often gets crapped upon, so no surprise that you've included 24.

The BBC forced the producers to dumb the show down during the Graham Williams era due to complaints from Karens during the Phillip Hinchcliffe era.
Sigh. Whenever someone says that something needs to be dumbed down, instead of telling people to smarten up, that person should be disappeared later that night and found in a hole in the woods a couple months later.

"World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls" is great though.

Doctors 3-5 used guns
I thought he refused to use them anymore after the time war

Mr. Bean Doctor was the first Doctor to regenerate female, and that one I actually don't mind. (For obvious reasons XD )
Certainly these days- Chris Chinballs has tanked the series, seemingly on purpose.
One Chrissy Tiegen comes to mind. The media overlooked 60K of pedo-like Tweets
Back when Dr Who was good :(
But doesn't everybody want female Ghostbusters, female Dr. Who, female Ocean's 11, and angry, feminist Star Wars??
RIP Dr Who
FUCK CHIBNALL
fuck doctor who. that show is woke as fuck
David Tennant was actually pretty good.
Matt Smith, not so much. Downhill real fast from there.
Show was great from 1963 to 1989. The new series starting in 2004 great for the first season, and darn good for the remaining seasons until around the Matt Smith era, where it started getting woke. Now it's garbage.
Basically what I came to say. I never got into new Who; used to watch old school who in the 80s and 90s though.
It got got way to campy, then woke later during the Matt Smith era.
I mean, to be fair, the original run was definitely campy at times.
So that is the premise of the show???????????/ I never knew that!!!!!! Thanks!
A Doctor Who meme.? Love it!
Yes, and he was one of the best presidents of the nineteenth century.
They need to revoke ALL press passes from the fake news media outlets and only approve legit news sources (the very few that still exist)
John Wayne must be canceled for something said 60 years ago. But Joe Biden saying the N word numerous times on camera back in the 90's doesn't matter, he was a product of his "generation".
This is the first Dr. Who meme I've seen on thedonald.win
I thank you.
MAGA!
Back when dr who was good
Real talk this episode was fuckin amazing and David Tennant is a kickass actor.
Based and WhoPilled
