If you are, and you're sick of your church being closed, email this to your pastor, post it on their Facebook, YouTube, and all social platforms.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

To our Christian leaders,

The Word tells us not to "forsake the assembly of ourselves", yet churches across the country are ignoring this verse. The Church is an assembly of God's people and modern technology through livestream does not dismiss this definition. There is no assembly online through pre-recorded messages and chat rooms.

When we accepted Christ, we accepted that we did not choose the easy path. We chose a path where we were promised strong opposition, oppression and even persecution. Church leaders across the country are defeated under the slightest pressure to shut down indefinitely under the facade that meeting online is sufficient.

It is not.

We need leaders that speak the truth boldly despite opposition. (Acts 4:29) We need leaders that obey God, not man. (Acts 5:29) We need leaders that know even Satan himself cannot prevail against the church. (Matthew 16:18)

The church is essential, and we cannot let what is essential be dictated by man. We can go to Wal-Mart, Target, even the Dollar Tree, but not church? We can riot in the streets but we can't peacefully protest in our own churches? There is clear and evident double standards being held against the church during a time where we are needed most.

It should be no surprise that the country is experiencing record high suicide rates, depression, domestic abuse, drug & alcohol abuse. All while the church is castrated and our leaders are silent.

Though your history of leadership is most respected, and the messages we have been taught in the church are appreciated, those messages are not being acted upon today. Until this church can mature enough to re-open, our tithes will go to one that is.

Respectfully,

Church goers that want to go to church.

I believe He is real. But I have a hard time believing that he cares about me. Even though I know the Bible says so. AND I have a hard time connecting with him. But then I don't read my Bible often or pray consistently.

I get that feeling sometimes when I leave a service. But then I get the sobering wake up calls all around me that Satan is alive and well.
