By these arrest numbers, African American blm numbers make up less than 10% of their membership, even though 13% of the general population is black. Just talked to my bro about this, who's a HARD leftist, and according to him, the white representation within BLM is a reflection of an over-arching principle that "1 white person show their support is worth 10 of ours." He likened it to white allies in the workplace or another industry advocating on behalf of blacks. This is DUMB FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, but moreover, it opens up BLM to being completely overrun, and co-opted, by whites with different end-goals and agendas, just like the Black Panther party of the 1970's, and is exactly what is happening now.
