Seems he pointed his AK-47 at the driver, who was trapped by other "protesters" who were surrounding and pounding on the car, so the driver, in reasonable fear of sustaining grievous bodily harm or even being killed, shot Mr. Foster. Then as the driver drove away, a "bystander" fired at the car.
Both the driver and the "bystander" have been interviewed by police, have handed over the guns they used to police, and been released. Not clear why the "bystander" was released, because it's not clear what justifcation he could have had for firing at the departing car, but he must have given a plausible explanation.

Think this idiots might have not used his gun (probably didn’t know how , seems a bit slow ) but when a driver hears gun fire shot at his car and look up and this idiot has a gun who are they going to shoot.

I agree. This bystander should lose his concealed carry permit for at least 10 years.
I see no jeopardy for the car driver. It's almost textbook allowable self defense.
