Yep, it really is a genius. It's our tax dollars and funding that helps support the research and development of these drugs. It's our free market that creates the environment in which they are able to create these medicines. I'll be damned if some commies get any benefit from it over us.

PhRMA is one of, if not the, best-funded lobby in the United States. Billions of dollars. And it is literally the entire pharmaceutical industry, from research to distribution, pushing only policy points that make more money for pharmaceutical executives.

I promise you that 99.99% of anything coming from PhRMA is a misdirection, obfuscation, or outright lie. If the opioid crisis teaches us anything, it should be that simple truth

Looks like the need to raise prices abroad for the first time ever if they’re so worried. Not right for our tax dollars to fund their research only to basically give medicines away to foreign countries!

Enough is enough!

This is price-matching, the US CONSUMER should be able to request the best available price, it is not socialism.

They created this problem by restricting purchasing from abroad, it is not like big pharma was playing capitalism, they were playing MONOPOLY and that is against the LAW

Still good and still allows people in shithole countries to survive

I agree. I don’t mind helping out poor countries like that but if Italy is getting a drug at half off... fuck that give us here in the states that rate

lol they can't by contract and if the pull out of the cheapest countries to raise the rates here they lose as well

the game pharma has played on the US citizens is OVER

Contracts can be voided by force majeure, and changes to law qualify.

This may prompt drug companies to pull products from countries that set price limits on their drugs. I'm fine with that.
