Around here most Chinese restaurants are owned by Taiwanese. So based China.
We have a lot of Chinese and Korean run by Chinese and Koreans respectively. But there is also a lot of cross-pollination. Some smaller places do everything. Korean BBQ is amazing especially in Korea where it is slightly different.
Our one local chinese place was ran by this 1 chinese dude who we've known for years. He is really good with faces and has always called me by name for my entire life . Known me since i was a kid. I'll always support his places.
Here in Ohio most Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean restaurants have Chinese and Japanese options on the menu. My favorite Korean restaurant on OSU campus has a sign out front that says sushi bar. Excellent food though, whether you order the tempura or the bulgogi.
Wish I could tell the difference. To me, Japanese people are easier to identify than other Asians. My city has a pretty big Chinese student population for college, and I wonder if they think we ALL look the same too.
That's true. And the 'R's aren't even written. For example,"shí" is pronounced "sure?" (the accent mark means you say it like you're asking a question).
Cantonese words, in contrast, end with more 'T's and 'K's.
Japanese stands out because it actually has polysyllabic words. The syllables can only end with vowels or 'N's.

BLM is a revolutionary marxist movement at its core, and shields itself with black power messaging as an effective means for advancement. Positioning themselves as having the moral high ground is devilishly brilliant, and gives them a huge advantage: opposing them is "racist", woke companies line up to give them money, and every brain dead virtue signaler proudly repeats their slogans. But to those paying attention, BLM doesn't care about black lives; they care about destabilizing the country, upending our capitalist economy, and shaming America out of existence. They are violent insurrectionists that just happen to share the same goals as our foreign enemies, so it's not crazy to infer a direct connection between the two.

No joke, I used to love to go and pig out at the Chinese buffet about once a month. Wu Flu made me lost my taste for all Chinese food. It just seems to unappetizing now.

I like to pig out occassionally. We got a good Indian buffet near me and multiple good BBQ buffets. It might be a long time before I step into a Chinese buffet again, if ever. Oh yeah, we got a Mediterranean buffet around here, too. Haven't been in awhile.
I really should avoid buffets because I'm the guy who will eat until he's sick because stupid me thinks I'm getting my money's worth that way.

I'm the same way. I mostly cook at home. But I've always had a weakness for AYCE. In my early 20s I worked across from a Pizza Hut and used to go to the buffet. Used to do the math on how much I paid per slice, and I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't stuff one more down for a more favorable price per slice.

These organizations do not fucking know at all what they've done to themselves. But the reality is, WE let the NFL and other organizations walk all over us for years. In my state, we gave them a high-rise office building, the state then rents space in it, at, of course, inflated rates, and we keep dumping money into a stadium, all the while, the organization keeps crying about a new stadium. How much more of a welfare check do these owners need?
