Wiccans and other weirdos aren't a new thing. I'll deride Rowling's "works" all day but dumbasses have been around since way before Harry Potter. Pop fantasy/scifi like Star Wars and LOTR have as much blame in convincing kids that magic is real as Harry Potter does.

Hell, look at how much stock people on here give to prayer. It's not much different to be honest.
