I'm wondering how much he actually did walk away with from CNN and WaPo. Maybe in the 6-7 figures each?

Notice how he despite this he is not going around bragging about how high the amount and claiming that it showed he was wronged? He isnt doing that because he agreed not to, and he agreed that the amount of the settlement did not reflect that this determination was reached by the court or admitted to by CNN. CNN shouldn't be going around implying the settlement amount or nature of the agreement was a reflection of their innocence. They literally agreed to stop the process of making that determination if the other side agreed to drop the case in exchange for money. But here we fucking are. An 18 year old can abide by this agreement but a supposed professional news organization just cant resist slandering the kid further by misrepresentating the result of the suit.

It's fucking disgusting.
