Hockey is for real men. Time to make hockey the American past time. Let’s take that away from Canada. Do it Trump.

As a Canadian I am heartfelt you would attempt to take that from us. It's on, brother.

I’d be happy to declare it a North American past time if you help us seize the Whalers goal horn from North Carolina in the coming civil war.

Let us borrow that 2A from time to time and you got yourself a deal.

Ok hows this. You lot manifest destiny and we can both get what we want. Canada a 2a and you lot can now be best at hockey. Win-Win.

Alright if we are gonna manifest destiny, we are sending McDavid to the Bruins and the Habs logo will be an actual toilet seat.

I warning you now, Tampa Florida is turning into a hockey town.

If they can do it there, they can do it anywhere.

They play on the hardest surface in the world with knives on their feet, they get their teeth knocked out and don't bother to get them fixed.

And they do it several times a week.

Ask an NFL player if they'd sign up to play even two games a week much less four.

They'll tell you hockey players are crazy. It takes a special breed of man to succeed in that sport. Meritocracy like you've never seen. No fake NHL stars.

Hockey benefits and suffers for the same reason it is so popular, in that watching it live is very different than what the TV audience experiences.

That is one of the reasons why people love going to the games so much I think, but it also hurts new fans that didn't grow up someplace cold enough for pick-up hockey when they were growing up as they never get exposed to the live version and don't really get what all the fuss is about.

Once you drag them to a single game, and teach them hockey offsides rules, they usually fall in love.

I was expecting Torts.

Tortorella reminds me of a cross between Dennis Miller and Geraldo Rivera for some reason

SwampMonsterJesus 4 points ago +4 / -0

So all of Dennis Miller's politics, none of Geraldo's, and like 50/50 of their looks? I can see it.

Spot on !

Or Chief

This is all that is needed to be said. If the coaches just said it everywhere.

I really hope so. Been a long time fan of hockey. What other sport do players finish their shift with broken teeth, bones, and lacerations. None.

I absolutely fucking love this kind of attitude. Setting it straight, setting it right. Teach those youngens early to respect your nations anthem.
