As much as most will not like to be reminded of the truth, twitter’s EULA, which is a contractual agreement all twitter users consent to when agreeing to use the service, grants twitter the right to do this kind of thing.

Stop using services that bind you to draconian EULAs. Read the contract before agreeing to be taken advantage of.
