That is a problematic scenario from a constitutional perspective - provisions specifying who succeeds to the office of POTUS are all phrased in terms of a sitting president, not a president elect who has not yet been sworn in. Biden dying before being sworn in (obviously in the insanely unlikely scenario he wins legitimately in November) could end up with Trump remaining as POTUS.
After encouraging all the rioters and "protestors" to trash the cities over Black rights, I can't see the Biden camp picking any VP who isn't obviously Black. The Democrat handlers are smart enough to see that a White pick for VP would make a massive amount of Black voters stay home, or vote Trump. It also might cause more rioting.
Biden's their half-dead meat puppet as it is -- his platform is essentially a wish list. The Dems have a bit of a problem: they have to court the really hard core Bernie bros (see: Project Veritas), who hate their guts; they can't let the same completely take over because they'll get eaten by the same because "liberals get it too".
This would guarantee a Trump victory. If what you say is true, the Democrats' strategy this cycle is:
Push Biden in primaries to suppress Bernie's chances because no other D candidate could beat Bernie
Give nomination to Biden
Let Biden pick a VP who was either defeated in the primary or who didn't have enough appeal to participate in the primary
Have Biden drop out and run the VP at the top of the ticket, even though the VP didn't have enough support from the DNC or D voters to actually win the nomination outright
