I wore a mask because I was told to my my dentist. I made the appointment they told me over the phone that to come in I needed a mask. I NEEDED a root canal and crown. I was not going to fight with them and risk walking around with a brain abscess.

Where I live I'm supposed to stay home, doesn't happen. I'm not supposed to leave my state, happens anyway. I'm supposed to quarantine for 2 weeks if I leave my state, doesn't happen. And when a business requests that I wear a mask I comply because they are a business with the Right of Free Association; they suffer because I don't frequent those businesses as often as I would otherwise.

They're making retailers the "mask police" by threatening them with closure and fines for not enforcing, and retailers don't want to have legal trouble or risk being shut down over a "public health order" (Health departments need a serious cut to their power, they are out of control. All they have to do is declare a "public health threat" and can shut you down immediately without any need for "evidence")
So places that don't have enough clout to refuse have to put up warning signs telling people "no mask, no service" and have door nazis ensuring compliance because they're scared of an undercover health official showing up and busting them because Karen called the snitch hotline when she saw them let in someone without a mask. Regular people are afraid of being singled out in public by Karen for being maskless where they're supposed to be wearing one and then the Gestapo shows up and hands you a ticket for $1000 and a court summons or just outright arrests you depending on locality and local ordinance.
And then workplaces are forced to comply if they want to allow people back into the office. They have to take temperatures, contact trace and force masks at all times (unless perhaps you work in an office where you're alone and can close the door.)

There's no reason to be arrested for not wearing a mask. If you enter a store/restaurant and are asked to out on a mask, you either out one on, or you leave. Anything beyond that, you're trespassing and should be arrested.
Yes, we all have the right to not wear a mask, but the store owners have the right to require whatever they want from people who enter their store. We then have the choice to comply or leave. You enter my house, you obey my rules, or you leave. If you don't like my rules, leave.

Society today, has decided to let the government impose their restrictions on private owned business. This is not right. A few years ago, the state of NC banned smoking inside of privately owned bars and restaurants. I don't smoke, I don't like to smell smoke, and I don't want to eat around people smoking, but I 100% disagreed with NC doing that. It's up to me, to decide if second hand smoke is a danger to me. It's up to me to decide if I want to be in a restaurant filled with smoke. It's not up to the government to decide that for me. They also claimed that they were protecting wait staff and other workers from second hand smoke. It's up to them to decide if they want to work in that environment, not the government. A restaurant should be able to put up a sign on their door saying "No non-smokers are allowed" if they want to, and the government shouldn't be able to do a damn thing about it.
Just like a bunch of us have now decided not to patronize businesses and professional sports, who have basically shit on white people, and America, by bowing down to BLM, enough people would boycott any business who would discriminate based on the color of someone's skin. It should be up to the people, not the government, to regulate privately owned businesses, with their patronage. DON'T GET ME WRONG - discriminating against someone because of something they have no control over, is wrong. We don't get to pick the color of skin that we're born with. I do think it's OK to discriminate against people based on things they can control - their politics, their hygiene, their poor work attitude, etc.
Remember, a private owned business can't infringe on your constitutional rights - only the government can do that. The Constitution is supposed to prevent the government from do that, but when politicians have never read it, they're going to do what they want.
The Constitution was never meant to impose restrictions on private business. That's why it's OK for a store to put up a sign on their door, prohibiting customers from carrying their guns on the premises. It's their store, their property, their rules. If you don't like, don't go there. That's why it's OK for a bakery to refuse to bake a cake for a gay wedding. Go somewhere else and get a cake.
Wearing or not wearing a mask is what brought us here - the government's role in all this should stop at making recommendations. Then they should stop, and let adults be adults. We don't need the government protecting us from ourselves. Let me decide for myself if I want to wear a mask. Let businesses decide for themselves if they want to require masks. Let me decide for myself if I want to patronize a business with a requirement that I don't agree with. Let a gym owner decide if he wants to require masks or not. Let the people decide for themselves if they themselves feel safe enough to go to that gym. If not, go to another gym where everyone is wearing a mask. Everyone needs to stop imposing their fears and desires on everyone else.
