The Democrats are engaging in Bulverism. Plain and simple. I hate using anything “Wiki” related, but here’s an article that gives a decent description of Bulverism: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Bulverism

Holy fuck don't link to rationalwiki, that's the antifa hive mind wiki. It's so bad it makes wikipedia look good.

TuckerCarlsonsTie 17 points ago +17 / -0

It may be “Antifa Hive Mind Wiki”, but it does give a pretty decent description of Bulverism. There was an article by Intellectual Takeout a couple of years ago about Bulverism that gave a pretty good explanation of the logical fallacy coined by C.S. Lewis. There just isn’t much talk about the logical fallacy, so you provide the best link you can. RationalWiki isn’t great, but it did give a fairly decent representation of Bulverism.

That's great, but we shouldn't be giving views to any hard left website. I'm sure there are other websites that also give good descriptions.

To avoid the "“Antifa Hive Mind", Here's C.S. Lewis exlaining it:

I see Bulverism at work in every political argument. The capitalists must be bad economists because we know why they want capitalism... In reality, of course, either the doctrines of the capitalists are false, or the doctrines of the Communists, or both; but you can only find out the rights and wrongs by reasoning - never by being rude about your opponent’s psychology.

Until Bulverism is crushed, reason can play no effective part in human affairs. Each side snatches it early as a weapon against the other; but between the two reason itself is discredited. And why should reason not be discredited? It would be easy, in answer, to point to the present state of the world, but the real answer is even more immediate. The forces discrediting reason, themselves depend of reasoning. You must reason even to Bulverize. You are trying to prove that all proofs are invalid. If you fail, you fail. If you succeed, then you fail even more - for the proof that all proofs are invalid must be invalid itself.

You know, I actually liked some of the starting points of rationality, but after looking at what conclusions they've reached and how the practitioners live their lives, it became pretty clear that there was a rather hard left turn at Albuquerque they shouldn't have taken.

They've decided the ends justify the means, but their ends and means both suck.

Another C.S. Lewis idea. That man was really on target.

There have been some of these hearings like with Kavanaugh where the republicans actually ask questions and listen to the answers, and when the democrats during their turns resume and continue a big long question-free rant at the section where the previously-talking democrat reached at the end of their time.

This time with each of the dems asking their own things, and ranting as each of them does, it makes them all look like dimwits and liars and dishonest framers individually. Weak since the fools like Hank Johnson blunder around being wrong until the chair tosses them out like a coup de grace at the end of their time.

They do it all for the media footage, their real weapon. The media will broadcast "Barr denied X by refusing to answer "yes or no", Barr refused to answer Y, Barr implied Z by not denying it.

They know exactly what they are doing and its despicable.
