I'm hopeful that it's B. By attacking him so hard and bombarding him with accusations as well as painting the narrative that he's rigging the system, they'll scream from the mountain tops that this is retaliation/cover up/election theft whenever the shoe drops.

Ironically, it was the Trayvon Martin incident, where he was shot dead by a private citizen working as a community watch volunteer, that triggered the formation of 'Black Lives Matter'. Now BLM advocates for doing away with police and instead - using community watch volunteers.
