Wasn’t really a secret, the process is patented and available. It was just a colossal pain in the ass, something like 17 steps with two reexposures. It was invented in a hotel bathroom by a couple of musicians for goodness’s sake.
The problem is that the color couplers are unavailable. I think Dwayne’s ran out of the yellow coupler first (y54, alphabenzoyl-ortho-methoxyacetanilide).
