I think it is adorable people think otherwise. Debating or not debating is a lose lose situation for Biden. If he refuses to debate, Trump is gonna harp on that hard. If he does debate, he gets fucked in them. There will be debates though. I don't think the dems are dumb enough to cancel them. They don't have any valid reason to do so that would save face with the American people.
People aren't voting for Biden though, they're voting against Trump, so as long as Biden continues to exist, his voters don't care if he debates or not, they just care that OrangeManBad is gone.
Lucky for us never in the history of ever has a campaign that's entire base is about being against another candidate has ever won. Trump has insane favorability by the Republicans, he's smashed every primary record for an incumbent, and he's got huge amounts of enthusiasm. All of those things mean an awful lot.
Is that true? That's quite reassuring to be honest. I can only imagine that people don't go from liking Trump to disliking him, and you don't get Trump supporters that suddenly 'wake up' and smell the fake news and the lies they're being fed, that's entirely on the left. So I can only see a scenario where Trump gains supporters and the Democrats lose them.
Pandemic isn't a valid reason considering the dems already had debates during the pandemic. Furthermore, voting against something is a losing strategy. They need enthusiasm to win and Joe doesn't get that. Joe needs more than his voters to vote for him to win. He needs moderates and undecideds. Both of which aren't enthusiastic about it. They will either vote Trump or not at all.
I don't disagree with your assessment, I just think that's their strategy. But honestly I think the next few months are going to be batshit crazy and unpredictable, we'll be looking back at these conversations and thinking how naieve we were.
Biden won nomination by the DNC picking him and having all other competitors drop out and endorse him. If that hadn't happened Bernie would have been the nominee, but the DNC doesn't control him so they couldn't' have that.
I don't think the dems are dumb enough to cancel them.
Have you seen the Dems lately? They just held a multi-hour show where their ringleader was an hour late due to a "car crash" and they proceeded to "ask" """questions""" that the AG never got any time to answer. And they think it made them look good.
It's not just dumb, it's brazen. They have no fear because they know the media covers for them and is totally willing to gaslight people into believing the narrative.
Oh yea... like that's stopped them from burning down our cities, spreading conspiracy theories about Russians, an impeachment over more conspiracy theories, an attempted coup, the intentional murder of the elderly by jamming sick COVID patients in with the most vulnerable, etc...
Are you suggesting they had valid reasons to do any of those things?
Literally nothing they do has any logical consistency or should save face with the American voter yet they keep somehow convincing, via the media, that they are the good guys.

Valid reason: Pandemic.

Never Trumpers don't need a valid reason. They would vote for a loaf of bread if it were running against Trump.
You seem to believe never trumpers are a significant part of the voter base, but they aren't.
I don't disagree with your assessment, I just think that's their strategy. But honestly I think the next few months are going to be batshit crazy and unpredictable, we'll be looking back at these conversations and thinking how naieve we were.
See Babylon Bee
Biden won the democratic primary using the same strategery.

"Dumb" is their middle name.
It's not just dumb, it's brazen. They have no fear because they know the media covers for them and is totally willing to gaslight people into believing the narrative.
"But muh covids"
Won't work. Dems already had debates during the pandemic.
Except for it helps stop you from spreading the virus if you are a carrier...
Oh yea... like that's stopped them from burning down our cities, spreading conspiracy theories about Russians, an impeachment over more conspiracy theories, an attempted coup, the intentional murder of the elderly by jamming sick COVID patients in with the most vulnerable, etc...

No of course not. What a weird logical leap you took there.
I think you miss my point...
