But by law and legal precedent, a "natural born" citizen is one who either has at least one U.S. citizen parent, or who was born on U.S. soil regardless of parent citizenship.
Those people are citizens automatically without doing anything else. You are correct that natural born is the requirement for being President, but there's more than one way to get there.
