It's really amazing how amazingly BAD things seem to need to be in order for "Republicans" to do ANYTHING favoring justice. Democrats so much as feel there may be something wrong somewhere and the entire party and allies pile on in lockstep at the first notice.

Eh, sort of. Put yourself in the shoes of any one of said servicemen.
You get the order. Go do some bad thing, because Joe Biden. OK, I don't want to be insubordinate. I don't really understand the point of my orders, but I will carry out my duty because I love my country.
Then you get on the job. Nothing feels right. The tasks are unethical. The people you're sent to deal with are actually decent Americans who also love God and country. You can't help but to empathize with them. You begin to question your orders.
Then you get new orders, because Biden. They're even more questionable than before. Now you know without a shadow of a doubt your tasks are immoral. You can't possibly do them without damaging your perception of morality. Your very soul is hurting at the crisis.
And then it hits you. Biden isn't really your master. You know God and you know your country. You know your neighbor, and your nation. You know your purpose, and what is right.
And then you stand by your fellow countrymen in defiance of Biden, because what he wants is wrong, and you will not become his mindless minion.
It may take a long time for a serviceman to snap out of it. Or it may happen right away. Depends on the character of the individual and how they were raised.
I have faith that good men will succeed. That evil men and their ideas will be cast aside.
The good news is that the black pills' effects are only temporary. They wear off and the weight of your humanity bears down on you again. You remember your sense of purpose, and push the fatalism aside, because you matter, and you are needed.
