I would encourage all Michigan residents to sign the petition to repeal the 1945 law that Governor Whitmer keeps using to extend the State of Emergency without legislative approval. Repealing this law would limit Whitmer (and any future governor) by requiring approval from the legislature every 28 days to extend a State of Emergency. As it stands right now, a Michigan governor can declare and then extend a State of Emergency indefinitely with no legislative approval.
