To be fair, only some NA tribes had slaves, not all.

Also Indians from India... now there's some systemic slavery for ya.

A very small percentage at that. Indentured servitude of both whites and blacks was much more common in both US and Canada.

But many Natives did and that should be common knowledge. They need to stop bitching about Columbus and bitch about their own sorry ass history. And Native America is a nation. They call themselves that. Lummi Nation, Cherokee Nation....

There were tribes that didn't but I presume it's simply because they were weak and powerless. They were the ones who consistently became slaves. The Payute for example. I have a Payute (I think) ancestor who was taken as a slave as a little girl and liberated by white Mormons. Those evil white people./s Technically you all owe me reparations lol.

AFAIK, the Omaha did not.

Mind, they were an incredibly weak tribe that was being genocided by their neighbors up until evil whitey intervened, and the entire state of Nebraska only ever had around a dozen slaves at any given point.

They were not an isolated tribe, but they were relatively pacifistic (hence the violence towards them) and very not racist (hence allying with and marrying white people as soon as they showed up) which was incredibly unusual for any of the American Indian tribes.

IDK off the top of my head, but there are lots of history books and whatevers that you can read it from. I have a book on my shelf called Eyewitness to the Old West that is just a collection of journal and diary entries from settlers and people back when things were still wild. One of the stories is about coming across a tribe enslaving a person from another tribe, and the other tribe didn't keep slaves. But I don't know if they mention the tribe names.

I could guess, but they'd just be guesses.

Had a roommate from India and he would always talk about how India is so great and america has so many problems. Dont think he realized how bad modern day slavery is there.

I get not all NA had slaves I was just using lib logic to show it's flawed. Basically saying if a certain race had slaves then all members of that race are guilty of that sin.
