mostly just because it always was that way, + they want to avoid people spam editing their titles once posts blow up. but many have said that a 2-5 minute window should exist at the beginning of a post.

Last paragraph is wrong. The mob is now using lasers, and fireworks/IEDs. The rules of engagement for police say that they're only allowed to use tear gas and rubber bullets. If the police were allowed to use their guns, the violence would end in a day.

The short answer is that the federal government is not oppressing these people. They are defending court houses and federal institutions against violent leftist rioters. Lawful gun owners are not going to get in gun battles with police on behalf of far left rioters who hate them. Gun owners assemble peacefully and Hillary Clinton and the media calls them domestic terrorists. These people in blue cities assemble with the intent to be violent and destroy their communities and they are called peaceful protesters. The left is incapable of making any meaningful distinction or they really are completely disingenuous about them. We are not comrades. They deserve to be arrested and charged. Nice try, losers. They all laughed when the feds killed that Bundy rancher saying he got what he deserved in the standoff with the feds.
Part of their strategy was hoping to get to rile up citizens to finally protect themselves and where we live because the Dems aren't planning on stopping the riots. We are not stupid, we know what would happen the second anyone did anything so they are trying to lie and make shit up about a White supremacist for starting stuff in Minneapolis. Fuck that, even in Minnesota where I live (suburb of the twin cities) and throughout the area, we all watched these leftist freaks live on TV.
