It's also an interesting story when it comes to overall economic recovery. Yes it does take some effort to retool, but it's surprising how quickly manufacturing companies can totally change given the right incentives.
Thing is film was so fucking lucrative for em that they decided to go with that business strategy (there's even name for it) fully knowing digital will take over but in the meantime they keep raking $
And BETA was far super to VHS - I had a BETA. So did the Bundies. Huge video selection in my store - but for BETA there was E.T. Nightmare on Elm street, Rambo 1, and three more...better does not always sell.
It might have been, for you. If you could afford to only buy a few shares, the money tied up in that probably would be better spent paying off existing interest bearing debts. You did the right thing unless your filthy rich but even then it still doesn't matter. I thought Bitcoin was vapor ware back on 2009 so worse things gave happened.
I sold a good amount of BT a few days ago - it’s jumped nearly 1000...although it could go to 0. Kodak actually sells something - but the high price is likely a temp surge...it may go beyond this in time, but this is speculation and will probably come down before that. I keep anything important in EDF/INDEX funds...I know enough to know I’m no expert.
To expand on what you wrote.
What sense does it make as a business to pander to a vocal MINORITY, exclude tHE MAJORITY and make the same amount of money?
SJW complaints don't mean they ever were a customer. How many really play video games? Use Gillette, buy feminist cars, Pay their own bills even?

My lib friend is already complaining how corrupt Trump is for this. He must be making all his friends rich!
Kodak has nothing else. Film is all but gone, their entry into digital cameras and printers was a dismal failure.
Believe it or not, Kodak invented the first digital camera. They then shelved it so it wouldn't cannibalize their film sales.
I learn new things here almost every day. Thanks, pede.

It's a good move but they should sell other products and not stop at medicine.
We will see, but I might buy some as a just in case.
Don't spend too much. Kodak has been hanging on by a thread for at least a decade.
I hear you.
This will be huge for them
Got in and got out of KODK yesterday. Kinda regret getting out so early.
Stock is always a gamble, don't be that hard on yourself.
Take a picture - it’l last longer than the inflated stock price.
I also scoffed at Bitcoin and Tesla stock prices.
I thought $800 a share for Tesla was too high. I really wish i jumped anyway.

I could have gotten BT at $20 each.
I didn't think it would go anywhere.
Still kicking myself over it.
Edit - edits stay plz
Which ticker are you looking at? It was at $2.50 until last week when it bumped up to around $8. Where did the $4 come from?
