Outside of the politicization of this, I think there are some practical reasons - if you have e.g. Section 8 housing in the suburbs, the presumably lower-income people will be forced to drive everywhere, forced to own a car, etc. Social services aren't usually located nearby either.

Suburbs were never designed for mass transit, it simply isn't cost effective. Whether that is a good or bad thing is a separate issue, but practically speaking it is a more expensive lifestyle (in some ways), so it doesn't make sense to repopulate it with poor people who will then face additional economic hardships.

Cities have gotten expensive largely due to liberal failure to build and overreaching zoning and building codes in the biggest cities, and then the (almost always Democrat) city governments then turn around and demand developers provide "low income" housing by basically extorting the developers. Of course the rest of the middle-income people end up subsidizing the cost because there is no 'their money', it's all our money.

The solution would have been to just allow more construction and an easier residential permit process to begin with. Older housing naturally drops in price given sufficient supply of newer housing stock. Instead all of the blame is placed on 'greedy developers' and 'gentrification' which are naturally associated with a particular skin color (I'll let you guess which).

Yep! My sister-in-law lives in a nice suburb about an hour outside of Chicago. I was wondering if she would change her anti-gun stance once she had to experience crime closer to her neighborhood. It's easy to virtue signal until it shows up on your doorstep!

When your neighborhood gets taken over by illegals in less than 5 years, suddenly there are 300 broken down cars on the street / yards, and gunshots all night long. Don't forget the 1 million metric tons of garbage literally everywhere. Blowing down the street like tumbleweeds and overflowing out of the trash cans that they never pull in off the curb. Now I'm stuck in the mexican ghettos until covid is over. I know we're building a wall, but sanctuary cities HAVE to be busted.

Lefty racism is what drive me away from the Democrat party almost 3 years ago now. Whenever I have "friends" telling me I'm "unique" and not all black people know how to get drivers liscense? That's racism at a level I've never had hurled at me by a Republican.

yep, voice your opinion against their socialist policies means you are against those policies.

Just because I dont want the government to be in charge of farming grain, doesnt mean I want people to starve.

That is some wild shit where the duck do these people come from? I imagine every time they see a black person they are like Brendon Fraser in blast from the past.

Do they actually think black people are different from white people? Or race actually dictates everything about a person?

Are you serious? I can’t even imagine that. How dumb must they think black people are to believe they can’t go to the DMV on their own.... (hell, blacks run the DMV where I live)

How does it escape them that they are saying black people are inferior? It’s so weird... and yet it makes sense. They see racism everywhere because they are projecting their own racist beliefs into the world so that they don’t have to come to terms with them.

It’s like what villagers used to do when they would “cast out demons” into a goat and then sacrifice it to supposedly purge themselves of the evil spirits.

You attack this symbol to avoid having to acknowledge your own problems.

I dont see any of them opening up their private communities to take in these people. Surely they're far far faaaaaar better equipped to tend to their financial needs than the average tax payer

Being called a racist is now a badge of honor I will proudly wear. It means I won the argument. Case closed.

This was also a move to stop the Obama/Democrat redistricting bullshit. They want to plant low income housing everywhere so they can import more refugees and get more Illhan Bromar's in government.

Where else are the fresh-off-the-boat clueless refugees going to live? They will take the free housing and take the free government and continue to vote for those that give it to them, like it's their god given right to make slaves of Americans.

No more of that shit, thanks.

Dan Bongino has covered their true intentions numerous times on his podcasts.

The main reason was to flood the suburban (red) districts with democrat voters. That way the communists who were certain to win by wide margins in the inner-city races/districts would now be able to win in suburban districts that generally have closer margins. So now those 51% to 49% Republican wins would flip to become 51% to 49% Democrat wins.

The communists claim discrimination, but it is simply a way to circumvent pre-existing districting/gerrymandering, etc, and win more local races.

I mean, just look at the shitfit they threw when they were told all the asylum seekers were gonna be sent to sanctuary cities.

And I bet somewhere in there, it's easier to rig the vote with a swarming, moving electorate.
