I've never heard of this before now. That seems like an extremely obscure usage and entirely inappropriate to be listed so prominently in Apple's dictionary.

I'd get it if it were an actual common use of the word. For example, if pig has such an entry, that's an accurate expression of how the language is used, and would be useful to someone learning English or such to be able to look up.
I've never heard demon as a slang term for a cop. Or for any profession.
If someone who was ESL started talking about 'demons' and meant cops, a native English listener will think they're a crazy schizophrenic with delusions. If they gave the same rant with 'pig' they'd made the connection.
