If we ever get around to where we can pass constitutional amendments, this would be one of the ones I support. You must either own land or pay taxes. (Bonus: Solves the voter ID problem since the papers you would require to meet these criteria also identify you)

People with no skin in the game have no business with an opinion on these matters. They'll just vote themselves gibs and vote against paying for them.
