I don't think they are going to try to get Trump with deep fakes because they'd get caught red handed falsifying evidence because of how obvious deep fakes are. I think they're trying to use deep fakes to explain the blackmail videos of prominent politicians fucking children. It won't hold up in court but the media will put it in the headlines and Democrat voters will eat it up and vote Democrat anyway.
What they would do though is release them days before to put a seed of doubt into an uninformed voters head. If it comes out as fake later the media will cover, it's a guarantee.
