Malayalee here. The commie regime is not going to last for long. Pinarayi and crew are getting butt fucked because of Swapna and the gold smuggling case. Kerala is a swing state and people here believe whatever the media says. Congress got screwed over royally because of the whole Solar case and Sarita sex scandal. The media went on churning the narrative that people decided to vote for the Commies. Congress was corrupt, no doubt but not as bad the fucking commies. In 5 years, they've made things worse. No meaningful progress, numerous shitty social programs, more corruption than Congress and so on. There's gonna be a huge swing back to Congress next election.

Don't know about cops physically beating people for being out (I have seen videos of it happening in North India). Ours is not a full lockdown like in the beginning. We can still go out and work. If anytime things get bad in a particular area, they find the hotspot and make it a containment zone for two weeks till things simmer and then open that particular area back up again. We do take social distancing and masks seriously otherwise we get fined heavily.

Besides, Pinarayi said no full lockdown will happen again as it is not practical (at least the commie has some basic sense).
