Now that President Trump signed away the AFFH we should not give up on this talking point to sway voters to our side. It has been one of the more eye opening subjects for people I know who stay out of politics. We need to get the left and Biden to take ownership and double down on this. Tell people that "Biden will reinstitute the AFFH"
In more simpler terms you can explain it like this.
"See your house right there? Well if they implement that some out of town investor can buy it, knock it down, build a 4 story apartment building right next to your house. Or buy that house and cut it up into 4 apartments and rent it out to people with section 8 vouchers"
The AFFH basically bans single family zoning in order to get HUD funds. There are other parts too, like racial based housing policies. So if you live in a white suburb and have low income people who already live there, you can't help them out because they are white and your housing policy discriminates. You would need to get people from 4 hours away in Chicago and ship them to Dubuque to diversify your city.
I've been at community planning meetings that got heated because of a new bike path being proposed. This would be on another level. It's time to start planting the seeds in peoples heads of what the eft wants for the suburbs
The vast majority of socio-political discord in this country actually boils down to Urban vs Non-Urban. Any detailed electoral map bears this out. The vast majority of Urban centers go Dem every single time. Our founders' wisely capped the influence of population alone through the electoral college and Senate, and many state governments did the same.
That's the prime reason democrat strategists are constantly looking for ways to urbanize non-urban areas. Simply moving their constituents out of the city and into non-urban areas doesn't work because it is the setting that influences their thinking and thus their votes.
The communists have to disperse their overly cloistered voting blocks into other districts without losing the urban setting that makes them prone to voting for stricter government control and greater welfare largess. It is not the demographic make up of suburbs, they have a problem with. It is the existence of suburbs at all. They want everyone living up each other's rear ends in tiny apartments.
