The WHO's "Solidarity Study" didn't focus on using it with Zinc. Just by itself, completely missing the proposed usage methodology. But that's what they are pointing to when they say recent study. The study was revised to remove HCQ fairly early on, but they weren't even issuing it with Zinc, just by itself. No one has been saying to take it by itself.
Thats what I gather about it too. More zinc in the cells inhibits the RNA processes of the virus, and HCQ allows more zinc uptake, with the added benefit of fighting inflammation that can cause the cytokine storm.
