I know plenty of doctors that 100% acknowledge it has no mortality benefit. It has only shown to reduce hospital length of stay, kind of like a "Tamiflu" for Covid. Expensive as fuck, but juuuuuust cheap enough that the extra hospital days are more expensive so hospitals still want it. It increases patient throughput and hypothetically reduces the risk of hospitals getting overrun (which they generally haven't, and lots are going bankrupt because a surge never happened for them).
