Look how long it's taking to implement Real ID, and now the deadline has been bumped up due to the fake virus. It takes years to get the public with the program with something like that, government moves like a snail.

But if I had to guess, the 99.99% of Americans have a photo ID already, and that 0.01% is probably people who refuse to participate to government activities and want to live off the grid and wouldn't vote anyway.
But the point being is it takes time to issue millions of IDs. We can't flood the DMVs across America with 300 million people needing a card before November. You have to give people time to get acclimated to the new system, and to get the word out properly that it's required. Plus, regular drivers licenses take a month to get in the mail. The bottom line is, if the government is involved, it's going to be a very slow process that will get backlogged in hurry.
If we don't need ID to vote we shouldn't need ID to buy guns. Afterall how many people have Dem governors killed with COVID lockdowns and putting patients into nursing homes? Votes don't kill people Dem voters kill people.

If I recall correctly even the majority of Democrat voters want voter ID.
Wanting it does not make it happen faster. Public information campaigns take time. You can't just say, "Real IDs are required in 2 weeks, get one."

You'd need to issue a few thousands IDs at most, and they can be sent to a person's address or to the post office.
