I mean, for all we know, all of those patients might have survived anyway. but still. In a crisis you can't always afford to wait for peer-reviewed clinical trials. As long as it's not obviously making things worse, I don't see the harm in using it even if it does no better than a placebo in the end.

absolutely true but considering a .4% fatality rate then statistically you should expect that at least 1 or 2 of then would have died. but again that doesnt mean that every 250 people, 1 person must die.

Way more than that, because those going to her seeking treatment were likely among those who were showing serious symptoms of the disease already.

You don't see the harm but that's not the standard that is used in medicine in this country. There was an exception made for china flu and NY used that exception to kill a bunch of people. That exception that was meant to save lives and encourage doctors to try new things was used to do the opposite and now absolutely not a single person in NY will be able to sue ANYBODY. Not the doctors, not the hospitals, not the government, nobody.
