Fun fact, there was a Yale study by Cyndey Dupree a few years back that studied this. Dems are the only group to do this when speaking to minorities. There are videos of Clinton and AOC modifying their speech when speaking to blacks due to their underlying feelings that minorities are beneath them. From the article on the study:

The underlying reasons in my opinion, is that the hatred that liberals feel for conservatives is due to projection of their own emotions. Liberals actually do think minorities are beneath them and believe all people feel this way, while conservatives do not. Liberals are so guilt ridden due to their emotions that they have to virtue signal constantly to alleviate their self hatred due to their racism.
