Just FYI, newer Adobe Reader/Acrobat turns pretty much every document in to editable layers - you don't need to import a document that is made up of layers to see layers in Adobe.
In Obama's certificate, you could see exact copies of text from the OG certificate - copies that are not possible by human hand, and could tell it was fake. But the layers point (in Adobe at least) is nothing.
even in pre-Acrobat days, if you scanned anything for OCR, the text was a separate layer out of necessity. The exact duplication of other features is the real proof, but as long as people focus on the layers they will have an easy way to "debunk the conspiracy theory".

This, exactly. You can save a Word document as PDF, open it in Acrobat and it'll create layers for you.
