I read Epstein cut a deal to rat on economic crimes to get his child sex trafficking ignored by the FBI. There was another case during the russiagate saga where the FBI stayed the arrest of a likely pedophile for an entire year to rat on others for political stuff. Their priorities are out of whack.

The language "human trafficking" is BS. It's smuggling and it's nasty.
For what it’s worth, trafficking is considered higher level than smuggling in the government world.
Someone like a coyote who guides people illegally crossing the Mexican border is considered a smuggler because the people he’s guiding are willing participants. Trafficking is when you stick a bunch of women in a cargo container, either against their will or under false pretenses, to sexually exploit them when they get to the US.
